Northern Illinois Demograhic Trends - CGS researchers Norm Walzer, Andy Blanke, and Brian Hager prepared a short research brief for 50th anniversary conference participants describing the potential impact of regional demographic trends on the economies of communities throughout northern Illinois. They developed an “attraction index” that helps identify industry sectors with growth potential in Illinois’ three economic development regions, and suggest targeting strategies that leverage existing economic and workforce assets. Access the Brief here.

CGS Team Initiatives: Helping You Shape the Future - CGS helps decision-makers create and implement efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective approaches to social, economic, and information management issues.  CGS adds value for our clients and partners in many different ways. This document highlights our work in seven main practice areas. Access the Report here.

CGS History - The Center for Governmental Studies has played an integral role in fulfilling Northern Illinois University’s outreach and engagement mission for 50 years, since 1969.
