Joan S. Laurino
Research Associate – Mind-Body Health, Health IT
Joan S. Laurino has worked in Health Information Technology at NIU since 2010. In addition to project administration of Health IT programs, Joan is also developing Mind-Body Health educational programs, designed to give individuals new insights on how they can approach healthcare. Meditation is a key resource to help individuals lower their stress levels. Joan has been meditating using Heartfulness Meditation since 2003, and incorporates this into the programs.
Joan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, an MBA, and an Master of Arts in Consciousness and Transformative Studies. She also attended core courses in Co-Active Coaching Training from The Coaches Training Institute, and holds certificates in “Mind-Body Coaching Tools for Wellness” from The Institute for Life Coach Training, and “Use of Self as Coach” from the Gestalt Center for Organization & Systems Development.
