Desheng "Ben" Xu

Ben Xu, M.S., leads the Informatics team at the Center for Governmental Studies. He uses SAS tools to manage large-scale databases and provide web development solutions for information delivery and online analytical processing reporting, deploying IT projects in Windows or Unix environments, and converting data and applications from legacy mainframes to web-based systems. Ben has provided SAS technical assistance to Illinois state government agencies since 2002. He has been involved with numerous state and federal reports in such areas as mental health, workforce development, labor market information, higher education policy, community college graduate employment tracking and healthcare related fields. Ben earned his M.S. in computer science from Northern Illinois University.
