Mary Strub

Mary Strub has worked in the Northern Illinois University Division of Outreach, Engagement and Regional Development since 2008. She started as the senior business manager/administrative associate for multiple departments, including the Center for Governmental Studies, the EdSystems Center, the Center for Child Welfare and Education, and Northern Public Radio.

In Mary's current role as director of Outreach Administration, she supports the division's departments and centers by managing personnel decisions and processes, administering contracts and grants, creating and maintaining budgets, managing external audits, processing international employee paperwork, and implementing policies and procedures to support key initiatives.

Mary worked in human resources at NIU (then called personnel) from 1982 to 1991 before working as a business and project manager in the private sector until her return to NIU in 2008. Mary earned a B.A. in English from Northern Illinois University.
